I had a little fun last night in Photoshop with this image.  This photo is of two adorable sisters that look so much a like that I merged them in to one person.  Enjoy.

This summer I shot the wedding of Vince and Christy Mercer.  While there, they asked me if we could possibly make time to go and see Christy's Grand Mother in the Care Home and get some photos.  Of coarse I agreed.  All of the residents enjoyed seeing a Bride and Groom walk in, especially Christy's Grama.  We had a great little visit and got some nice photos.  She was an absolute sweetheart.  When Christy got her photos back she thank me so much, especially for those ones of her Grama as she recently passed away.  Another reminder of how important it is to have photos to help us remember our very special loved ones.  Here are a few shots from that day :)

Hello everyone.  Well its that time of year for a little vacation and oh yeah, my own wedding.  Therefore my studio will be closed until after March 1st so if you are calling or emailing I will get back to you after that date. Thanks everyone!  And since every post is better with a photo, here's an image of me and my wonderful, very soon to be husband, taken by the amazing Christie Pham of Hawaii who is also going to do our wedding photos!!  This is my favorite!

As I am sure you all know, photography over the years has changed a great deal which is why we keep having to strive to learn more and create better images.  Sometimes though, I think its easy to think that images turn out perfect SOOC (straight out of the camera).  That's not always the case.  Its hardly ever the case actually.   The job of a photographer is a vast one.  You don't just take pretty pictures.  It covers everything from keeping up to date on current trends, computer equipment as well as software, camera equipment, posing techniques, scouting out locations, returning a million emails and phone calls, creating sets, completing orders and shipping, as well as editing, editing, editing those lovely shots.  But its so easy to keep that from our clients.  Just shoot and ship and all the stuff in the middle remains a secret of sorts.  Well there is a lot to this job and even though some parts of it can be daunting, I still love it and the clients I get to meet because of it. So I have decided, on occasion, to post before and after images for you to see.  Some may be just a slight change and some may be photoshopped to heck and back, lol.  But hopefully it will be interesting for you to see how things start out and how they end up.  Creativity must be there in shooting but it also be there in the post production and I hope that everyone enjoys the result.  A special thank you to the very striking Mr & Mrs. Moon for this shot.

I can't believe another year has come and gone and its Bridal Fair time again.  I always look forward to meeting those new potential clients each year at The Most Incredible Bridal Show in the Conexus Arts Center, Regina. Last fall I had the extreme pleasure of shooting the wedding of Mandy and Dave Kozak. They were the most wonderful Bride and Groom and I love every time I run into them. Their wedding has recently been shared on the Wedding Bells website. How exciting. Its entitled "Family Ties". Take a look.
