Its funny how we forget how small our children were when they arrived into this world. Today I got to meet Mr. C and he stole my heart right from the second he got here. But he did things that most two week old baby's don't do. He hardly slept. Seriously. Even with feeding and an incredibly warm house, he was awake for 3/4 of the session. He never cried. Not once. He was so alert and looking around like a little bird the whole time. It was amazing. He's just so adorable and was so good that Mom and dad know that they have a babysitter here if they need one. Seriously, I would take him in a heart beat:)
Here's a few images from today. He definitely cheers for the right teams.

The other morning I had the pleasure of doing this wonderful family's photos in Melville. Grama and Grampa have the most amazing yard. It has been a work in progress for over 30 years if I'm not mistaken and you can see the love and attention that it has received. I would love a yard like this. Anyway, thanks so much everyone and I hope you all had safe trips home to Saskatoon and Montreal. On a side note, if you have a moment please check out Scott's website for their band Wyatt. I got an autographed CD and absolutely love it. They sure are talented!!

I was so thrilled to do this shoot this other day. I have worked with Tina and Curtis before and have known Tina since she was just an adorable curly blond haired girl. Well she grew up to be just as gorgeous and now in just a few short weeks is going to be a mom herself. Wow, time sure flies by. I'm definitely getting old, lol. Well, this is their first baby and this was my first shoot since moving to Balgonie. I found this wonderful location in my new town a few weeks ago and couldn't wait to use it. Its an old church that was slated to be torn down, but apparently the locals wouldn't allow that. Thank goodness. If I understand it right there are a few different groups of people that have been looking after it. Its being restored on the inside to its original state and the gardens are looked after by a great group of hard working volunteers. Obviously they are very talented. Okay, enough about this awesome new location and on to the post. I think you will like it. Tina and Curtis totally rocked it and I can't wait until our next shoot in a few weeks with their brand new baby!!!

Oh my God! Tina, you are absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations and all the best wishes for a happy, healthy baby.
Sharon, once again, you did a beautiful job! I love the ones on the bed and with the sheets!

Recently I had the pleasure to spend the morning with the "Y" family. They are such nice people and I totally fell for their kids. For 2 and 5 years old, they were so well behaved. Really, I could have taken them home, lol. Doing family photos with kids that age can be interesting but once you realize who's in charge (the kids) it all goes well. Just let them do their thing and capture it. Thanks again so much Kirk, Sandra and Grama. Here's just a few images from the day. Hope you like them :)

Seriously, how adorable is she?

I would just like to see inside his mind for 5 minutes. :) Little boys have the best imaginations. I think this one's totally ready for the Boy Scouts.

Thanks again everyone. I hope you had a wonderful afternoon at the birthday party.

Well I don't know about the rest of you, but I have had about enough of
the thunder, lightning, rain and power outages! I don't think I have
ever seen this much rain since I moved to the prairies back in 1981.
Wow, am I getting old....or sounding old, lol. Anyway, tonight, in
between rain showers, I got to shoot grad photos for my nephew Matt. I
can't believe he's graduating already. It seems like just yesterday he
was just a little gaffer that always had a wet mark on his t-shirts
cause he would chew on the collar, lol. Sorry Matt, but that's what I
remember and I have a lot of photos of you like that. Thankfully it
stopped raining for a bit so we could get your pix done tonight and you
showed up in a very styling tux.....without the chewed on collar, ha ha.
Matt had my lovely neighbor Trisha as his escort and she's always up for a photo shoot. They are both so photogenique that it made my job pretty easy. Congrats on your graduation Matt. Your whole family is very proud of you. Hugs. :)

Well you are bound to see lots of umbrella's in this session as it seems these days we can't have a day without rain. But this family totally rolled with the punches. Even when it started to absolutely pour during the family photo. Solution, just grab some umbrellas and keep on going, lol. It was great. It was so much fun to shoot these photos as well since I have known these two since they were pretty little. I knew they would be "styling" as they always are and they did not disappoint that's for sure. So anyway, there's a real mish mosh of shots here, including some goofy candids, but I just couldn't help myself. Thanks again Leniczek family for being so great to work with. Have a wonderful graduation!! Here's just a small sample from today's session. Hope you enjoy it!
