Josh & Jill are engaged! - Regina Engagement Session

Saturday I met up with Josh & Jill for their E-session. We had to reschedule a bit but finally got together. It was a blast. Now I can't wait for their wedding in August. They are such a down to earth couple and did so great for never having photos done before. Thanks for making the trek to the city guys. See you in August!

These shots are some of my fav's. Its awesome when I tell people to just have fun and be themselves and they do just that. Great job guys.

Of coarse when I saw this I had to incorporate it. Josh is a farm boy so how could I not, lol.

For those of you that follow my blog you know there is a mixture of business and personal on here. Well today I felt like definitely updating the personal. If you know me, you know I have been dating this wonderful gem of a man for over 4 years now. I have felt very blessed to have him come into my life and the lives of my 3 sons as well. I have also been incredibly blessed to have his family come into my life. Well this past Saturday I was extremely happy and honored to say "yes" to his proposal. After I stopped crying of coarse, lol. I am the luckiest woman on earth to have found my best friend to share the rest of my life with and I can't wait for this new adventure to begin. Along with Rory I proudly inherit 2 awesome daughters, 1 son-in-law and 3.5 grandchildren who I love to pieces. And since a post is always better with photos, here are some again from our holiday in February taken my the wonderful Christie Pham of Oahu. Enjoy!

MIchael & Jennifer are engaged!

I was so excited today waiting for Mike and Jen to come for their engagement session. Michael is my very handsome nephew and Jen is his beautiful fiance'. They have had this session booked for so long, so I was glad that by the time it finally got here, we had some decent weather. It wasn't a bad day but was incredibly windy so we headed to the valley to do these shots as the wind is just never as bad down there. Here are a few selections from the day. Before I get started though, I do have to mention how excited our whole family was when Michael "finally" proposed to Jen. We have considered her part of the family since the first time he brought her home. She is the kindest, sweetest most talented girl. She is beautiful inside and out and we couldn't have picked anyone better for Michael if we tried ourselves. We love you Jen. Welcome to the family. :)

Phoebe & Mark are engaged!

Well this Engagement Session was Saskatchewan meets Africa and it was a blast. Mark is a small town Saskatchewan boy who fell in love with an absolutely beautiful girl from Ghana with a killer smile. They made the trek out from Regina last week for their engagement session. That was before the weather turned on us. Thank goodness. This couple is truly so wonderful. They had me wrapped around their little fingers in no time. The little fingers that are attached to their 6'2" frames anyway, lol. Boy they sure are tall. I am so jealous. Anyway, I tried to bring in different parts of this wonderful prairie of ours. The grasses, some old cars and buildings and of coarse the valley on a beautiful fall day. Then you add in their awesome personalities and some great handmade African outfits and well, it was just perfect. Oh and to top it off, I was feeling kind of quirky that day, a little Tyra Bank'ish, lol, so I incorporated a couple of apples into the shots. I'm not sure why. Maybe it was the whole "fall harvest feeling" that was going on but Mark and Phoebe were game for anything so we had a little fun. You will know what I'm talking about when you see the images. Thanks again you guys. It was truly a blast working with you and hope to do so again in the future. Best of luck on your African wedding. I know it will be beautiful.

Today Tim & Chantelle stopped in for their engagement session. I have been looking forward to this for a while now and it was so great to spend time with both of them. After tonight I am definitely looking forward to their wedding next year. They were so great to work with. Very much "themselves" which isn't always an easy thing to do when someone is waving a camera in your face. Thanks for putting up with me dragging you all over. I hope you enjoy your pictures and can't wait to work with you guys again!! :)

Save the date cards!!

For any of you couples that are coming to me for engagement and then Wedding Photos, here's an idea for you. Create a "Save the Date" card with one of your Engagement Photos. If this is something you are interested in, just drop me a line and I can price them out for you depending on size, quantity, design, etc. Here's an example of a pretty straight forward "Save the Date" card.
