This afternoon I headed to a farm south of Wolseley to meet with the wonderful McCall Family.  Unfortunately there were a few important people still missing from these family photos but son, Ian and his wife and daughter were home from England so it was time to get those grandkids together and take some photos at Grampa's original homestead.  It was a little tricky off the start with one very shy British girl but she was so adorable and before we knew it, she started to follow suit with the rest of the kids and did a great job.  Plus she had the most adorable accent, lol.  Anyway, thanks so much everyone for making the trek out from the city and for putting up with the mosquitos.  Here's a few shots from the day.
Enjoy!!

IMG_5052.jpgI'm starting with a shot I love of everyone in front of Grampa's homestead.  It sure was a great old house and the kids told stories about Grampa shingling the roof when they were little and scaring them to death when he fell off.

Grampa is definitely very proud of his grandchildren!!

IMG_5014.jpgThe kids are slowly starting to warm up.  I love this shot with the flowers.  Getting kids involved in an activity always helps get a great shot.

IMG_5032.jpgAnd just for fun, a little peak-a-boo through the flowers.

IMG_5092.jpgThe shy "Miss L" suddenly not so shy and totally fine with a photo just of her.  She even struck a little pose.  How adorable is she?!?

IMG_5104.jpgAnyone that knows me knows I love an old house and this one was no different.  Look at the great blue colors and the fantastic wallpaper.  I just love the vintage feel of this photo and the next few coming up.

IMG_5111.jpgBrothers.  Love, love, love this serious shot of the boys! They were so sweet I could have easily taken them home.

IMG_5119.jpgMiss M is such a great kid and always had a smile on her face.  I had to force her to not smile in this shot but I love it!

IMG_5132.jpgOkay, I know I keep using the word love tonight but I totally love this group shot.  The light is just so pretty.

IMG_5135.jpgAnd here's the lady that organized this whole thing and her boys.  Its too bad that dad had to work but now he will have a great shot of his family for his desk.  Carla was super nice.  I liked her right off the bat and know if she was living out here we'd definitely be grabbing a coffee now and then.  Thanks for getting everything together Carla. :)

IMG_5251.jpgSnuggling with Grampa.

IMG_5260.jpgI just had to throw this shot in.  Sometimes in order to get the shot you want, you have to let the kids have a little fun.  Isn't that what its all about anyway?  We even got Grampa involved in this one.  Too funny.

IMG_5170.jpgI don't even think anyone knows about this last shot.  It was actually one of the first shots I took when everyone was surveying the yard with Grampa in the lead.  It just seems so natural.  Thanks again everyone for the great time.

Ok, you had me crying from picture one. I've been wanting to do this for a long time and today was awesome and these pictures are fantastic!! You've brought to life exactly what I wanted. And yes, coffee would definitely be on, from one sentimental gal to another!

This evening the Sefton's made the complicated trek out to my place as my road is now under construction. Wow, its going to be a long summer till that is done. I have taken photos of the kids before but never the whole family. The weather wasn't the best but at least it was dry and they were all so great to work with. Mom and dad looked great and the kids were so adorable. I have learned that working with children should not be this rigid event. It should be fun. It should be play time. That's when you get the great results like tonight. Thanks for all your efforts everyone. Enjoy this small selection of images.

One last comment about this last image at the end of the blog post. I am sorry Erin but its just not fair that you look so amazing when you are chasing after two small kids. Gorgeous :)

Hi everyone.  Just thought I'd do up a quick post to let you know that I am back from my "mini vacation".  I have decided that if anyone is ever in a drought situation, all they have to do is contact me and have me come visit for a few days.  Guaranteed that the rains will come with me, lol.  But none the less it was a nice few days off, especially after just wrapping up grad season. Now its time to get caught up on that editing.  That is, between the upcoming weddings, engagement shoots and family sessions.  So anyway, just thought I'd let you know that I am back and that I will be getting in touch with all of you who are waiting for edits.  Thanks for your patience everyone.  It seems that the "shooting" season is so short and so many people to squeeze in.  Now because every post is better with an image, here's a few from my time at Greenwater. I am afraid that between the rain, etc, I didn't really have my camera out all that much.  I totally missed getting photos of my sweet Awien and Marley.  Sorry girls.  I will get you next time.  For now here's a few of our little man Kobe.  Well, not my little man.  Rory's daughters little man so very unofficially I am Grama and I love it.

IMG_7153.jpgOkay, I know I am probably a bit impartial but isn't he just the most adorable little boy?  I mean come on.  I just love these two images of Kobe and his mommy.

I have many wonderful nieces and nephews but I just had to post a few photos of my sweet little niece Halle that has come to visit again for the summer.  Her and her sister make the rounds to all the Grama's and Auntie's houses and we all love them.  I wasn't fortunate enough to catch a photo of Autum but I guess she is 13 and more interested in other things than me and my camera, lol.  Anyway, here's a couple pix of Halle and the neighbors new adorable puppy.
