About Me
Who am I? Hmmm. That's a tough one. Sometimes I'm not sure myself, lol. I have been dreading writing this part of my blog because its not exactly easy to describe oneself in "so many words or less". But since you are wondering I will give it a try. Here's a few jot notes about me. If you follow my blog, I am sure that you will get to know me better.
I am the mother of 3 great boys, one of which has already graduated and moved away. Let me tell you that was a tough one. I sure wasn't ready for that.
I have a wonderful man in my life that treats me better than I probably deserve and I am so thankful for that every day. We got engaged on April 11th of last year and are getting married in Hawaii this winter. I can't wait.
I grew up in British Columbia but have come to embrace the Prairies as my home, even though some days I really do miss the mountains.
I have one brother who is the funniest man I know. No one can make me laugh as hard as he does.
I am a softy. There, I said it. So if I am shooting your wedding, even if we hardly know each other, I will probably cry. But don't worry I have auto focus, lol.
I am an animal lover. Growing up as a kid I didn't have pets so as an adult I have made up for that. Over the years I have cared for a multitude of creatures from dogs, cats & fish to calves, fox, geese, rabbits & deer. Yeah, definitely tried to make up for lost time. Right now we are patiently waiting for March 2nd when we pick up our new family member which will be our 10 week old baby Maddie. Maddie is a purebred Mastiff and I can't wait to have her here at home. I am in the middle of reading all of the Dog Whisperer books and don't miss an episode of his show. I'm a total Cesar Millan addict. I think Rory might be a bit jealous, lol.
I am addicted to my Blackberry. I can't go anywhere without being able to get my texts, emails or check my schedule.
I would love an iPhone. Shhh.....don't let my Blackberry hear that or it will be jealous, lol.
I love reading the comments people leave on my blog. It absolutely makes my day!
I love to laugh and probably talk too much. I don't like uncomfortable silence.
I have a good heart and treat people the way I want to be treated.
I started my business about 7 years ago and its really been a whirl wind but I absolutely love it. I worked in finance for 16 years so that helps with the business end of things but I love getting out and shooting. I take pride in what I do and always feel honored when I am asked to share in your special moments. Maybe you will have me share in yours!
I am excited to share a few new photos of me taken by the amazing Christie Pham of Honolulu, Hawaii. She's so talented that she even managed to make an old gal like me look pretty good, lol. Thanks again Christie and Matt for doing such a great job and making it so much fun. The next photos that Christie and Matt take will me our wedding photos :)
