A few weeks ago I traveled into Manitoba for the wonderful wedding of Candice and Rydell.  I was really looking forward to meeting them but felt like I already knew them a bit as Candice was nice enough to email me a bit about their life and how they got to be where they are now.  It really helps in taking images for people when you know their likes, dislikes, hobbies, careers, etc.  Anyway, it was a fabulous day with an absolutely amazing location out on a friends family farm that just happened to have an amazing antique car to use for photos and then he even drove them to the reception.  Thank you so much Candice and Rydell for being so great to work with, as well as your parents and bridal party.  EVERYONE was just fabulous.  I'm glad your day went perfectly and I wish you both every happiness in the years to come.  Here's a small selection of images from your day.  I hope your and your family and friends enjoy them.

I do not personally know this couple; however, I can't help but comment on this and I just have to say ..... the bride's gown is the most beautiful dress I HAVE EVER SEEN and she looks absolutely stunning in it !!! You did an awesome photography job once again, Sharon, in high-lighting all the beautiful aspects of it and their day !! Bravo to you !

This past weekend I got to shoot a wedding that I have been waiting a long time to shoot.  Probably since my nephew Michael first introduced us to Jenn years ago.  Our entire family instantly fell for her, right along with Michael lol.  Seriously, we could not have picked a better bride, wife and best friend for Michael and we are absolutely honored to welcome her and her family into ours.  I have another nephew, right Philip ;).  Anyway, this past weekend was perfect.  The weather was great, the day ran smoothly and there were tons of "tears of joy".  I still tear up when I think about it.  So in closing I just want to say congratulations Michael and Jenn.  I know that you have a long and incredibly life ahead and can't wait to see the beautiful babies you guys make....one day :)  Love you both!

Last fall I had the extreme pleasure of shooting the wedding of Mandy and Dave Kozak. They were the most wonderful Bride and Groom and I love every time I run into them. Their wedding has recently been shared on the Wedding Bells website. How exciting. Its entitled "Family Ties". Take a look.

There is something about a small town wedding.  I know in the city, we are always fortunate to have access to some pretty nice places in case the weather is bad and in our small prairie towns, that isn't always the case.  However, there is still something about a small town wedding.  Maybe its the genuine people that open up their homes and yards to you.  Maybe its how everyone scrambles for keys to schools, heritage buildings and elevators just in case you might need them.  Maybe its how all the guests seem so genuinely thrilled for the newly married couple and applaud at the end of their vows, making them kiss three consecutive times until they were satisfied it was enough.  Maybe its all of the above.  Well this past weekend, I witnessed all of that.  So much laughter and tears that it truly makes your heart swell.  This lovely couple had the whole support of their towns and it was great to see.  We even went to the Kelvington High School, which is where each and every member of the wedding party went to High School.  Some may say that its not the perfect location for wedding photos, but others may realize how perfect it is.  Thank you Jill, Josh, your families and friends for making my day such a great one.  A special thanks to Bob and Linda Taylor for the use of their beautiful back yard during the 45 minutes of "no rain" on Saturday.  And congratulations again Jill and Josh.  You guys are a great couple and I know you have many happy years ahead of you.

The other morning I had the pleasure of doing this wonderful family's photos in Melville.  Grama and Grampa have the most amazing yard.  It has been a work in progress for over 30 years if I'm not mistaken and you can see the love and attention that it has received.  I would love a yard like this.  Anyway, thanks so much everyone and I hope you all had safe trips home to Saskatoon and Montreal.  On a side note, if you have a moment please check out Scott's website for their band Wyatt.  I got an autographed CD and absolutely love it.  They sure are talented!!

Well, another beautiful Saturday and another beautiful wedding.  This one was on a picturesque farm just outside of Yorkton.  The house and grounds were so beautiful. It looked like a post card.  Mom and Dad had been working very hard to make it just right for the wedding and did a fantastic job.  I must say it was a great day.  The bride and the groom, as usual, were awesome.  I must say, I do have the most amazing brides & grooms.  Their wedding party, hysterical.  I seriously laughed so hard all day.  As I say after every shoot, I really do have the best job in the world.  Thank you Jennifer and Jason for including me in your day.  I was honored to shoot your wedding and help out just a little.  Have a wonderful honeymoon and enjoy this small selection of images from your day. :)
